THE LEADER OF FNM

Dr. Andrew D. Clark, Sr., serves as the Pastor of Trinity Outreach Ministries C.O.G.I.C., located at 12002 Ashbury Rd., and Holy Trinity Church and Cultural Arts Center (HTCCAC) located at 7209 Woodland Ave., both in the City of Cleveland. Through Dr. Clark’s Pastoral-ship, he has brought together many innovative ways to reach the community. Notables, such as instituting fitness and spiritual wellness programs with the primary purpose of developing “Servant Leaders.”

 

Dr. Andrew D. Clark, Sr., is the youngest of six very talented and highly educated children from the union of Pastor, Walter J. Sr., and Jessie L. Clark, both have transitioned to a higher calling. Dr. Clark is a proud product of the Cleveland Public Schools, graduating from Cleveland’s East High School (The Mighty Blue Bombers) in 1979 with honors (Phi Beta Kappa). Dr. Clark went on to the University of Cincinnati earning a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science while minoring in Urban Renewal in 1983. After returning home, Dr. Clark became active in the business community working alongside his Father in multiple business ventures that included retail establishments and transportation services. During the late 1980s and throughout the early 1990s until 2005, Clark Transportation Services became the largest Black-owned and operated Motor Coach and Van Service in Northeast Ohio, serving at one time fifty full-time employees. Additionally, during this period Dr. Clark was recognized as one of the nation’s top leaders by “Ebony Magazine.”

Dr. Clark’s business savvy brought many good fortune and respect from various sectors across the country. Dr. Clark became the President of the Glenville Business Association in the late 1980s, during a time when this community began to lose many of its Black businesses. Later, Dr. Clark was voted in as the Board President of the Glenville Development Corporation (GDC) under the late Tanya Allmond. Notable GDC developments during Dr. Clark’s Presidency included the “East Side Market,” “Nehemiah Homes,” and the “Glenville Business Incubator” that housed “Shore Bank.” During the early 1990s, Dr. Clark was voted in as the first Black Board President of the infamous “Cleveland Housing Network”, an organization he still holds close to his heart.

 

Dr. Clark eventually went on to receive his Master’s Degree in “Biblical Studies” in 2011, and his Doctorate in “Theology” in 2013, both from the “North Carolina College of Theology”. Dr. Clark, in 2016 opened “Holy Trinity College of Theology,” a satellite school of The North Carolina College of Theology, now operating on the HTCCAC campus. Additionally, HTCCAC has a first class, state of the art-performing art’s department, with the capacity to have an array of productions from drama plays to jazz and gospel events accompanied by professional sound, stage, and lighting for your ultimate experience.

 

Other special notables, Dr. Clark is the Founder and Chief Facilitator of “The Federation of Network Ministries” (FNM), a collaboration of faith-based institutions whose primary purpose is implementing Urban Renewal strategies through the “Recovery 7” plan. The “Recovery 7” plan is a biblically based urban empowerment plan designed to address areas concerning; Education, Crime Prevention, Family-with emphasis on re-connecting Fathers and Sons, Financial Literacy, Home Ownership, Economic Development, and Health and Wellness. Through FNM, the creation of “The Glenville Ministry in Mission Alliance,” “Buckeye Ministry in Mission Alliance,” “Akron West Ministry in Mission Alliance,” were all developed to push the principles aligned in the “Recovery 7” plan.

 

Every year, Dr. Clark and the Federation of Network Ministries organize a community wide celebration called “A Day of Reclaiming.” This event brings together many faith-based organizations and residents throughout Northeast Ohio proclaiming peace, hope and restoration. Additionally, through this ministry Dr. Clark has pushed for Gun Control Reform, reducing Gun Violence, bringing awareness to Human Sex Trafficking, promoting Domestic Harmony, and campaigning against Mass Incarceration and Infant Mortality. FNM, is a Social Justice driven mandate by the disenfranchised of our community.

Dr. Clark was appointed in 2016 to lead the “Urban Initiatives” department of the “Ohio North First Ecclesiastical Jurisdiction of The Church of God in Christ”, under the Leadership of Bishop, Edward T. Cook, charged with assisting over one hundred churches in developing community engagement strategies in their communities. Notable events include “Christmas in July,” “Town Hall Meetings” addressing a variety of community issues from “Pipeline from School to Prison,” “Economic Inequality,” “Prison Reform,” “Poverty,” “Homelessness,” and much, much more. Dr. Clark also serves on the Executive branch of National Urban Initiative department of the Church of God in Christ Worldwide!

 

In May of 2020, Dr. Clark created the “Trinity Department of Social Services”, to further address the needs of the community in areas such as Senior Care Initiative, Work Force Development, Childcare, Financial Literacy (Financial Empowerment) classes, Home Ownership seminars and standard classes on credit repair, Sober Homes, Opioids support network, and a full service Cultural Arts and Music Initiative. Dr. Clark is the visionary behind the establishment of the first African American Cultural Arts and Theatre District saddled in the heartland of the “Forgotten Triangle“, located in one of the hardest hit communities in the City of Cleveland!

 

Dr. Clark is a lifetime member of the NAACP; he serves as the Vice-President of the “National Action Network” Local Cleveland Chapter; founding member of “The Cleveland Clergy Alliance,” and past board member of Empowering and Strengthening Ohio People (ESOP).

 

Dr. Clark is an outstanding drummer, teacher, and motivational speaker. He enjoys the outdoors, long jogs and exercising, and quiet evenings at home listening to inspirational sounds of gospel and jazz. Dr. Clark has received several awards, honors, and recognition from across the country.

 

Dr. Clark is married to the talented and beautiful, Dr. Michele Clark who is the founder of “Family For Life Foundation” and runs Trinity’s fifty-thousand square-foot, “Center for Family Resiliency”, located at East 46th and Carnegie Ave. Dr. Clark is the proud parent to son, Andrew D. Clark, Jr., a 2018 Master degree graduate from Johns Hopkins University, and daughter, Porscha J. Clark, a 2021 Master degree graduate from Johns Hopkins University.
